E.C. #027 – FANTASMA / DEMO Voy a ser completamente sincera, este es el disco que más me costó reseñar de todos los discos que reseñé. Por lo general las bandas que edité con este proyecto, me remiten inmediatamente a mil referencias y a una o varias escenas del punk a lo largo de su historia. Creo que la familia de Educación Cínica sí tiene un hilo sonoro presente que podría definirse como el resultado de unos sudakas que escuchamos una y otra vez el glorioso “ya no formo parte de esto…” e hicimos una banda para seguir repitiéndonos que ya no formamos parte ni de esto ni de aquello y que el suelo que habitamos está quemado de tanta sangre. Fantasma no tiene nada que ver con el sonido de Ataque Frontal, nada, pero a su vez tiene muy presente lo desgarrador del porvenir que ofrece países como Brasil. Es un disco demasiado, demasiado corto para ser tan bueno, necesitamos más. Desde que lo escuché no puedo parar de repetirlo, la voz es la resignación a la desesperación cotidiana, tranquila, pero brutalmente expresiva. Y las guitarras, desgarran. Podría dar la referencia de las intros de Camera Silens o las notas de Décima Victima para que imaginés qué tal será la guitarra de Fantasma, pero es diferente. Es triste, contemplativa y increíblemente locuaz para expresar lo mismo que expresan las letras. No sé si esta banda sacará más material o no, pero definitivamente dejan una puerta abierta para que sigamos consiguiendo más y más formas de explicar cómo se siente la podredumbre.

E.C. #027 – FANTASMA / DEMO I'm going to be completely honest, this is the album that costed me the most to review of all the albums I've reviewed. In general, the bands that I released with this project immediately refer me to a thousand references and one or many punk scenes throughout its history. I think that the Educación Cínica family does have a sound thread present that could be defined as the result of some sudakas who listened to the glorious "ya no formo parte de esto..." over and over again so we made a band to keep repeating to ourselves that we are no longer part of this and the ground we inhabit is burned with so much blood. Fantasma has nothing to do with the sound of Ataque Frontal, nothing at all, but at the same time it is very aware of the heartbreaking future offered by countries like Brasil. It's too much, too short to be this good, we need more. Since I heard it I can't stop repeating it on my mind, the voice is the resignation to daily despair, it¡s calm, but brutally expressive. And the guitars tear. I could give the reference to the intros of Camera Silens or the notes of Decima Victima so you can imagine what Fantasma's guitar may be like, but it's different. It is sad, contemplative and incredibly loquacious to express the same thing that the lyrics express. I don't know if this band will release more material or not, but they definitely left an open door for us to keep coming up with more and more ways to explain what rot feels like.
