EC006 – BURAKO / PESADELO Monstruoso debut de la banda brasilera BURAKO, el cual mezcla estructuras clásicas del d-beat con los aspectos más furiosos del hardcore norteamericano, pero con una fuerte impronta escandinava, sobre todo en las vocales y su un fraseo audaz que me recuerda a Anti-Cimex. Esta cinta se editó con propósito de distribuirse durante la gira de la banda por Buenos Aires, planeada para Abril 2020, un mes antes de que sucediera lo que aconteció. Espero que pueda pasar algún día, y el próximo EP!

EC006 – BURAKO / PESADELO Monstrous debut by the Brazilian band BURAKO, which varies between classic d-beat structures and the most furious aspects of North American hardcore but also impacts with a strong Scandinavian imprint, especially in the vocals and their bold phrasing that reminds me of Anti-Cimex. This tape was edited because Burako was supposed to be playing in Buenos Aires during April 2020, just a month before quarantine started. I hope it still could happen one day, and the next EP!

Lace Shawl est la première démo du one-man band américain du même nom dirigé par un certain attic mancer dont l'ambition est de jouer du raw black atmosphérique victorien. Dans "Aristocratic Wraith Of The Wardrobe", cette ambiance passe par un synthé nostalgique (à la limite du kitsch) et une batterie impériale. Imaginez Revenant Marquis, mais les rideaux sont ouverts, les jardins couverts de fleurs au lieu de tombes, le feu crépite dans les cheminées, les robes ont des couleurs flamboyantes... Comme tant d'autres artistes regroupés au sein du label Grime Stone Records, Mossen invite dans son premier album éponyme à faire une ballade en forêt mais certainement pas dans un esprit de frivolité comique ou de romantisme pastoral. Le raw black metal lugubre de Mossen est très bruitiste et fait l'effet d'une chute dans un buis de ronces. Abysmal Specter, qui assure le chant, ne joue plus le rôle de bouffon comme on a pu souvent l'entendre mais de fantômes errant dans les bois. Un bon début ! Jordan Vauvert
